Celebrating Hope and Resilience: SHARP Marks UN Migration Day 2025 with Migrant Communities

SHARP proudly organized a vibrant and meaningful celebration of UN Migration Day 2025 bringing together migrant families, children, civil society representatives, humanitarian partners, and protection stakeholders. The event reflected this year’s theme “Migration in a Changing World: Building Hope, Resilience, and Inclusion.”
Participants engaged in a range of creative, educational, and psychosocial activities — including art & drawing competitions, awareness booths, cultural performances, open-mic sharing, children’s fun activities, and a touching Hope Messages Wall filled with words of solidarity and compassion.
One of the most heart-warming moments of the event was the cake-cutting ceremony led by migrant children — symbolizing hope, diversity, and togetherness.
Chairman SHARP, Syed Liaqat Banori, appreciated the spirit of participation, stating: “Today we celebrate the courage, resilience, and contributions of migrant communities. Migration is not only a journey across borders — it is a journey of hope, dignity, and dreams for a better future.”
PD-ICT, Mr. Aatif Afzal, highlighted the protection and humanitarian dimension of migration: “Our commitment is to ensure that migration remains safe, dignified, and humane — strengthening trust, inclusion, and meaningful engagement between migrants, authorities, and host communities.”
A representative from our UN partner organization shared: “This gathering reflects partnership in action — together we promote compassion, understanding, and stronger community support for migrants.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, community members, UN partners, and stakeholders for their warm engagement and contribution to this meaningful celebration.
Well done to SHARP’s Protection Project Team for their outstanding coordination, creativity, and compassionate efforts in making this event a success.
