Empowering Refugees Through Global Employment Opportunities for Youth
A Community Outreach Session with the Somali refugee community was successfully conducted in Islamabad under the Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) program. The initiative aims to empower skilled refugees by facilitating access to international employment opportunities that foster self-reliance, dignity, and economic inclusion.
The session was facilitated by Ms. Rukhsana Jafar (Senior Livelihood Assistant) and co-facilitated by Ms. Fardowsa Abdirahman, who served as interpreter to ensure meaningful communication and engagement.
A total of 22 participants (12 males and 10 females) took part in the session, reflecting strong interest and enthusiasm from the Somali community. Participants were briefed on eligibility requirements, registration procedures, and the overall benefits of the TBB initiative, which connects skilled refugees with employers worldwide to help them rebuild their livelihoods through dignified employment abroad.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A discussion, where participants expressed appreciation for SHARP’s sustained outreach efforts and for providing avenues to explore global career opportunities through the TBB program.
