SHARP-PAKISTAN regularly organizes sensitization and awareness raising trainings workshops for judiciary, law enforcement agencies (Police and FIA officials), Public prosecutors, lawyers, CSOs, media and law students on diverse topics including human/refugee rights, and human trafficking in context of national and international laws.
SHARP-Pakistan capacitated 43 security personnel on 21st October, 2021, by arranging a One Day Training Workshop for Police Officials on Human Rights & Refugees Rights in Police Lines Layyah. The purpose of these trainings was to strengthen the bilateral relations with Police officials, by enlightening the mandate of SHARP and UNHCR. Police officials were briefed about the extension notification in regards to the stay of Afghans in Pakistan. SHARP provides free legal aid, advice, and assistance to Afghan, non-Afghan refugees and asylum seekers in Pakistan under UNHCR mandate. SHARP is fully prepared to handle the influx of recently displaced refugees in wake of the current situation in Afghanistan. Chief guest, Mr. Syed Ali Raza (DPO Layyah), and Mr. Abdul Majeed Mastoi (DSP Legal), Mr. Shahid Nadeem (DSP Headquarters), and all participants appreciated the SHARP team with their immense presence.
