SHARP–Pakistan kicked off the global 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence at its Head Office in Islamabad, strengthening its commitment to creating safer, respectful, and inclusive digital spaces for women and girls.
This year’s theme, UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls, highlights the urgent need to address online harassment, cyberstalking, non-consensual image sharing, and other harmful digital behaviors affecting millions globally.
The session, facilitated by Project Director Mr. Aatif Afzal, Media & Communications Coordinator Ms. Hina Saleem, Psychosocial Counsellor Ms. Maham Raja, and Protection Counsellor Ms. Saman Aman, guided staff through realistic and anonymously shared scenarios taken from everyday communication channels, including WhatsApp and Facebook.
This interactive session enhanced staff understanding of digital violence, promoted responsible online behavior, and reinforced SHARP’s commitment to the UNiTE campaign. It also created a simple, replicable model for fostering safer digital spaces across all SHARP offices.
