SHARP KP teams successfully organized a series of capacity-building workshops for police officials in Lower Dir, Peshawar, Swabi and Kohat, engaging over 110 participants, including Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and ASIs.
The trainings covered SHARP’s mandate, objective of the protection project, national and international human rights frameworks, the Juvenile Justice System Act 2018, the Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) Act 2022, and international protection mechanisms with a focus on refugee rights and UNHCR’s mandate.
Senior police officials and institutional representatives attended the workshops, appreciating SHARP’s efforts to enhance awareness and strengthen the role of law enforcement in refugee protection and human rights.
These initiatives reflect the dedication of SHARP KP teams in building stronger partnerships with law enforcement to ensure accountability, protection, and dignity for vulnerable communities.
