SHARP-Pakistan Advances 16 Days of Activism with Community Engagement in Lahore and Mianwali

SHARP–Pakistan continued its strong commitment to the 16 Days of Activism by engaging communities across Lahore and Mianwali through awareness, empowerment, and meaningful dialogue.

In Lahore, the SHARP team brought together refugee and host community participants for an impactful 16 Days of Activism event, highlighted by a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony led by a young refugee girl, Jaslin Singh, celebrating empowerment, inclusion, and the strength of girls within marginalized communities.

The session featured expert guidance from Cybersecurity consultant Mr. Munib Ahmed on securing social media accounts and preventing cyberbullying, while our Field Manager, Ms. Arooj-un-Nissa, and Ms. Farzana Kpusar (Lawyer) shared essential insights on cybercrime and relevant protection laws. Participants concluded with a powerful pledge: Strength! Thy name is woman.

At the same time, ALAC-III conducted an interactive awareness session with female school teachers in Mianwali, focusing on GBV, digital violence, and practical online safety measures.

Together, these activities highlight SHARP’s continued commitment to creating safer, more informed communities and taking a firm stand against all forms of Gender-Based Violence.
