Strengthening Legal Capacity for Inclusive Protection in Nowshera!
SHARP, under the protection project, organized a Capacity Building Workshop with Lawyers of District Nowshera. A total of 52 lawyers (28 male & 14 female) participated in the workshop, reflecting strong professional commitment and inclusive representation.
The session began with a welcome address by Mr. Hamid Latif, Protection Officer, who shared SHARP’s mandate and protection-focused interventions. Mr. Amir Hamza, UN partner Representative, briefed participants on ongoing projects and areas of collaboration.

Prof. Nadeem Farid — Human Rights, IHRL, Fundamental Rights in the Constitution of Pakistan & IHL
Mr. Salman Farooq, Protection Officer — International Protection Framework & Refugee Protection in migration and repatriation contexts
We were honored by the presence of: Mr. Mian Arshad Jan, President District Bar Nowshera (Chief Guest); and Mr. Fawad, General Secretary District Bar Nowshera (Guest of Honor). Mr. Mian Irshad Advocate appreciated SHARP’s efforts and emphasized the importance of such professional learning opportunities for the legal community.
At the closing, Ms. Memoona Batool Khan, Project Director SHARP KP, expressed gratitude to the Bar leadership and participating lawyers. The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates by the Chief Guest.
