Strengthening Rights-Based Policing through Knowledge & Collaboration
SHARP, under the project “Provision of Free Legal Aid Services to Displaced Afghan Nationals,” conducted a Capacity Building Workshop with Police Officials at the DPO Office Attock on 31 December 2025.
A total of 42 police officials (male & female) participated in the workshop, which focused on strengthening understanding of:
The session began with interactive introductions and New Year reflections, fostering an engaging learning environment.
SHARP CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed shared an overview of SHARP’s humanitarian mandate and ongoing protection initiatives. He highlighted the importance of institutional engagement with law enforcement and remarked: “Police officials are at the front line of public service delivery. When they are equipped with the right knowledge, compassion, and legal clarity, protection becomes stronger, communities feel safer, and justice becomes more humane.”
Project Manager Ms. Huma Aziz highlighted service delivery areas and collaboration with partner institutions while capacity strengthening presentations were delivered by SHARP’s legal and protection team (Mr. Salman, Ms. Ayesha, Ms. Suharwardia, Mr. Aimal, and Mr. Mujahid) through case-based discussions and practical examples.
We were honoured by the presence of Sardar Mavarhan Khan (DPO Attock) as Chief Guest, who also distributed certificates among participants and appreciated SHARP’s continued efforts in advancing rights-based policing, institutional sensitization, and community protection.
