SHARP marked World Environment Day 2025 in line with this year’s global theme, #BeatPlasticPollution, reaffirming its steadfast commitment to environmental sustainability and climate responsibility. The day began with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony held during an ongoing team workshop in Murree, serving as a meaningful gesture of SHARP’s shared dedication to environmental awareness and collective responsibility.
The observance was graced by CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed and Project Director Mr. Aatif Afzal, joined by Protection Project teams from Lahore, Attock, Islamabad, and Peshawar, reflecting a united front across regional offices.
Further celebrations unfolded in Islamabad, where SHARP teams organized a series of eco-focused activities. These included an awareness walk promoting sustainable practices, followed by an engaging clean-up drive in which staff actively participated in waste collection, demonstrating SHARP’s commitment to civic responsibility and environmental stewardship in action.
In his address, CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed stressed the urgency of unified climate action, noting that even the smallest, consistent efforts can drive meaningful change when carried out collectively. He encouraged the team to lead by example in promoting environmental consciousness both within the organization and the communities it serves.
Through these impactful initiatives, SHARP not only answered the global call for environmental action but also reinforced its organizational culture of sustainability, empowering staff to adopt and promote environmentally responsible practices in both their professional roles and personal lives.
