On 2nd of April 2019, SHARP/SDC Peshawar team organized a one day sensitization session for police officials on “International Protection, Human Rights, Refugee Rights & Status of Afghan Refugees’’ at Police Training School, Nowshehra.
Mr. Asad Afridi explained the role of UNHCR & SDC Project, its activities regarding Afghan refugees and the mandate of interventions. Akif Israr Advocate facilitated the session on Human rights. International protection mechanism was briefly explained by Muhammad Imran Advocate. At the end, District Police Officer (DPO) Nowshera, Mr. Mansoor Amaan was invited for sharing his views. He thanked SHARP-SDC for conducting such a fruitful & interactive series of sensitization sessions for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
