SHARP organized a vibrant and colourful session in Islamabad for Afghan refugee children under the facilitation of Ms. Maleeha Sami. This session, inspired by AMNA’s trauma-sensitive approach, provided a safe and nurturing environment for children to engage in activities promoting self-expression, resilience and connection.
Session Highlights:
Warm-Up Fun: Energizing icebreakers to set the tone.
Mirroring Exercise: Encouraging empathy and non-verbal communication.
Trust Walk: Building teamwork and trust through playful guidance.
Laughter Chain: Uniting everyone through the joy of shared laughter.
The activities, co-facilitated by Ms. Rukhsana, Ms. Shiza and Mr. Ahmed Taufiq, created a space of dignity, mutual respect and collective healing, empowering children to find strength through shared experiences to:
- Reduce stress and enhance relaxation.
- Stronger social bonds and mutual support.
- Empowerment and resilience to face challenges ahead.
Together, we continue to make a difference, one step at a time.
