16 days of activism (celebration under IPLAAR project)

16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls. The campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, Human Rights Day.

This 16-day period also highlights other significant dates including: December 3- International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The 16 Days of Activism campaign calls for action against one of the world’s most persistent violations of human rights – violence against women.
