In collaboration with the AMNA project, SHARP recently hosted an inspiring Art Therapy session at its Head Office in Islamabad, themed “Brushstrokes of Belonging: Art as a Path to Healing”. Led by MHPSS Officer Ms. Maleeha Sami, along with Maira Mansoor and Interpreter Mr. Shabnam Taufiq Ahmad, the session created a nurturing space for Afghan refugee children to express their emotions, find comfort, and visualize a brighter tomorrow.
The session was also attended by Chairman SHARP, Mr. Liaquat Banori, CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed, Project Director ICT, Mr. Aatif Afzal, and Ms. Shiza Malik, Communication Officer from the AMNA team.
During the discussions, Mr. Liaqat Banori along with SHARP leadership expressed profound appreciation for AMNA’s unwavering support, highlighting their remarkable contributions in promoting resilience and facilitating healing within refugee communities.
Ms. Shiza engaged warmly with the participants, attentively listening to their moving stories and reflecting on the profound therapeutic value of art in bridging emotional gaps and restoring a sense of belonging.
