Successful Conclusion of SHARP-Women Capacity Building Programme in Karachi

A vibrant Certificate Distribution Ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the SHARP-Women Capacity Building Programme, celebrating the achievements of 25 young women lawyers after five days of intensive learning, practical training, and professional development.
Organized by SHARP Pakistan under its SHARP-Women Initiative, with the generous support of the German Embassy Islamabad, the ceremony was held at the Sindh High Court Complex, Karachi. The ceremony was graced by the Honorable Chief Justice of High Court of Sindh, Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput, as the Chief Guest.
In his keynote address, he urged participants to uphold integrity, continuous learning, and the rule of law in advancing justice and protecting human rights. He also commended SHARP Pakistan and the German Embassy Islamabad for promoting women’s legal empowerment and honored Mr. Aatif Afzal, Project Director, SHARP Pakistan, with a traditional Sindhi cultural cap and shawl in recognition of his leadership.
In his remarks, Mr. Aatif conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to the Chief Guest, trainers, and participants for making the programme a success and reiterated SHARP’s commitment to developing skilled, confident, and socially responsible women legal professionals.
Prior to the Closing Ceremony, the SHARP team, led by Mr. Aatif Afzal along with Ms. Qurat ul Ain, Team Lead, and Ms. Abeera Ashfaq, Advocate and IBA Faculty Member, conducted the final technical sessions on Community Legal Awareness & Public Speaking, Advocacy Role Play, Community Legal Awareness Session, and a Post-Assessment and Written Evaluation.
During the session, Mr. Saeed Rajput, President, Society for Human Rights and Environment Protection, encouraged participants to lead with integrity as future champions of justice, human rights, and social justice. The programme empowered 25 young women lawyers to lead with integrity and champion justice and human rights.
