As part of the SHARP-WOMEN Project, SHARP Lahore conducted a Legal Literacy Session at Superior Law College, engaging young women and men from the legal fraternity—the leaders of tomorrow.
The session focused on strengthening awareness of women’s legal rights, protection mechanisms, and socio-legal approaches to women’s protection, while encouraging future legal professionals to contribute to creating safe, inclusive, and women-friendly environments within courts and the wider justice system.
The session commenced with remarks by Dr. Aabida Yasin and concluded with remarks and a vote of thanks by Dr. Aabida Abdul Khaliq.
Ms. Arooj facilitated the session on legal remedies and the socio-legal dimensions of women’s protection, equipping participants with practical knowledge to better understand and respond to issues affecting women.
Young leaders from Superior University actively participated and shared their feedback, expressing their interest in seeing such awareness initiatives continue. Participants pledged to promote safe spaces, support women around them, and contribute towards addressing discrimination against women.
Through the SHARP-WOMEN Project, SHARP continues to engage and empower the next generation of legal professionals to advance gender-responsive justice, protection, and equality.
