We recently concluded the police training component of our SEM-supported Integrated Protection Project with four impactful workshops on Human Rights and Refugee Laws in Pakistan’s political and administrative powerhouses: Larkana (Sindh) and Lahore (Punjab).
Larkana: At the Police Training School (PTS), around 70 senior police officials, including many Station House Officers (SHOs) and Investigation Officers (IOs), enthusiastically participated in two consecutive workshops. Principal SP Mr. Mehmood Hussain Raja graced as the Chief Guest. PD-ICT Mr. Aatif Afzal facilitated the sessions and was ably supported by FM (Karachi) Ms. Almas Bano, PO Mr. Ilam Uddin and Lawyer Mr. Ali Asghar Mahar.
Lahore: At the Police Training College (Chung), SP Syed Mehmood-ul-Hassan was the Chief Guest while 70 male & female police officers were in attendance. FM Ms. Arooj Un Nissa led the sessions with Adv. Syed Muhammad Aala as co-facilitator.
These trainings are vital for building the capacity of law enforcement officials to uphold human rights and protect vulnerable communities, especially refugees and displaced persons.
