Prioritizing Mental Health at Work: SHARP Marks World Mental Health Day 2026 in Islamabad

SHARP celebrated World Mental Health Day 2026 at its office in Islamabad with an engaging and enjoyable event focused on relaxation, creativity, team bonding, and workplace well-being. The event began with opening remarks by SHARP CEO, Mr. Mudassar Javed, who welcomed colleagues and highlighted the importance of mental well-being. A guided meditation video followed, giving everyone an opportunity to relax their minds and bodies before the activities began.

To reconnect with their inner child and express their creativity, colleagues participated in a fun drawing activity. Each participant received a sheet of paper featuring a semi-circle and was invited to turn it into any drawing of their choice. The drawings were then exchanged among colleagues, who shared their interpretations of one another’s artwork, creating moments of laughter, creativity, and connection. The energy continued with an exciting singing competition between the boys’ and girls’ teams, where both groups showcased their enthusiasm and singing talent. The competition concluded with a well-deserved victory for the champion girls’ team!

One of the highlights of the celebration was a fun award-giving activity started wth SHARP Program Director, Mr. Aatif. Colleagues picked humorous and appreciation-based titles from slips of paper and presented them to fellow team members they felt best matched each title. The activity brought plenty of smiles, laughter, and appreciation for the unique personalities within the team.

The celebration concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Aatif, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony, bringing the team together to mark the occasion. Through this celebration, SHARP reaffirmed the importance of creating a supportive workplace where mental well-being, positive relationships, creativity, and mutual appreciation are valued. The event served as a reminder that taking care of our mental health is an essential part of building a healthier, happier, and more connected workplace. At SHARP, we believe that caring for mental health begins with caring for ourselves and one another.
