SHARP, under its protection project, organized a one-day capacity-building workshop for lawyers at the Fateh Jang Bar Association, bringing legal professionals together to deepen their understanding of human rights, protection laws, and legal frameworks.
The workshop was graced by Chief Guest MNA Mr. Malik Sohail Khan, along with SHARP leadership, including Chairman Mr. Syed Liaqat Banori and CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed. Ms. Saima, a representative from IOM Pakistan, also attended, reflecting strong collaboration and support for protection-focused initiatives.
The session commenced with a welcome and introduction by Ms. Huma Aziz (Project Manager, SHARP), highlighting SHARP’s mandate and nationwide interventions. Technical sessions were led by Mr. Aimal Khan (Senior Protection Legal Expert) and Ms. Soharwardia Rawadia (Protection Lawyer), with facilitation by Mr. Inkasar, ensuring interactive and engaging participation throughout. In their remarks, CEO SHARP Mr. Mudassar Javed emphasized bridging legal knowledge with practical application and encouraged lawyers to adopt a proactive, rights-based approach.
During his address, Mr. Malik Sohail Khan appreciated SHARP’s efforts and underscored the vital role of lawyers in protecting vulnerable populations. Mr. Sajjad Haider Khan (President, Fateh Jang Bar Association) also commended the initiative and expressed support for continued collaboration.
While delivering the vote of thanks, Chairman SHARP, Mr. Syed Liaqat Banori, highlighted the shared responsibility of the legal community in upholding human rights and justice. The workshop concluded with certificate distribution and presentation of a souvenir to the chief guest.
