SHARP-Pakistan organised Inter-University Art Competition on World Environment Day 2024, at Quaid i Azam University Islamabad under this year’s theme “Our Land, Our Future: We Are #GenerationRestoration”.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students representing five prestigious universities: Bahria, IIUI, PMAS-AAUR, SZABIST and Quaid-e-Azam University.
Among the 23 students who participated from 5 prestigious universities, M. Abdullah from PMAS-AAUR got the 1st Prize, Iman Hashmat from QAU got the 2nd Prize and Ayesha Mirza from Bahriya University got the 3rd Prize. Students were awarded with Shields, Cash Prizes and Certificates of Participation from SHARP Management.
In the Prize Distribution Ceremony, Honorable Chief Guest from Environmental protection Tribunal, MoLAW and Ex DG, EPA emphasizes on the saying that think global and act local to save your environment. Mr. Syed Liaqat Banori, Chairman SHARP and Mr. Mudassar, CEO SHARP also addresses the importance of Climate Actions for Sustainable Development.
The competition showcased a remarkable display of talent and creativity, reflecting the high level of competition and the passionate engagement of the participants. Their creations not only highlighted the gravity of the environmental crisis but also proposed worthy solutions through their wonderful artwork. The event successfully underscored the importance of environmental awareness and the collective efforts required to mitigate the impacts of climate change at National and Global Level.
