Recognizing the vital role of law enforcement in protecting human rights, SHARP Pakistan’s ALAC Peshawar team organized a One-Day Sensitization Workshop on Human Rights, International Protection, and Durable Solutions for police officials at the Police Training School (PTS), Shahkas, Peshawar.
The programme commenced with welcome remarks by Mr. Imran Khan, Team Lead ALAC Peshawar, followed by an introduction to SHARP Pakistan by Ms. Memoona Batool Khan, Project Director KP. Technical sessions were delivered by Mr. Maqsood Ali, Director, Law and Human Rights Department, on international human rights and constitutional safeguards, and Mr. Javed Khan, Project Manager (EU), on international protection and durable solutions.
The workshop was graced by Mr. Tayyab Jan, Director, Police Training School (PTS), Shahkas, as Chief Guest, who appreciated SHARP Pakistan’s continued efforts to enhance the capacity of law enforcement officials and reaffirmed the importance of upholding human rights and protecting vulnerable communities.
The programme concluded with the presentation of shields and certificates, marking the successful completion of the workshop and reinforcing SHARP Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and rights-based policing.
