Striving for a Human Rights friendly Pakistan

SHARP Launched its SHARP-Women Project through a Project Orientation Session in Islamabad

SHARP formally launched its SHARP Women Project through a project Orientation Session, marking the beginning of a transformative initiative to advance women’s leadership in the legal sector. Funded by the German Embassy Islamabad, the project aims to strengthen the capacity of 125 young female lawyers while promoting GBV-sensitive legal practices and expanding youth-focused legal awareness.
The initiative will also establish a Women Human Rights Champions Network and enhance institutional coordination to improve access to justice and rights-based legal support.
The session was conducted in a hybrid format, bringing together SHARP teams from Islamabad, KP, Lahore, and Karachi, with the Islamabad team participating in person and regional teams joining online, reflecting strong organizational collaboration and shared commitment. Mr. Aatif Afzal (Project Director), along with Ms. Sonia Mansoor (Training, Engagement & Advocacy Coordinator), facilitated the session and outlined the strategic direction of the project.
SHARP CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed joined the session, congratulating the team on this important milestone and encouraging everyone to contribute their best efforts toward making the initiative a success
