One-day Capacity building training for Public Prosecutors (Karachi)

SHARP-Pakistan’s Karachi Office organized a one-day Capacity building training for Public Prosecutors on 31st Oct, 2017 at Mehran Hotel Karachi.

The topic of the training was “Human Rights and Refugee Laws with respect to National and International frameworks” Numbers of Public Prosecutors from All 6 Districts of Karachi have attended the training.

The training consisted of following 3 sessions.

1) Mr. Bilal Agha (Representative of UNHCR in Karachi) delivered his presentation on “Protection of Refugees and UNHCR mandate in Pakistan”
2) Mr. Faizullah Korejo (SSP/AIG Sindh Police) delivered his presentation on “The Concept of Human Rights”
3) Mr. Sikandar Mehmood Advocate (SHARP Karachi) delivered the presentation on “Arrests/Detentions/Releases under Foreigners Act 1946”

The honorable Chairman SHARP-Pakistan Mr. Liaquat Banori was the Chief Guest of the event who addressed the participants at the end of the training.

Certificates were awarded  to participants at the end of training.
